This week Lightly salted is saluting Mimmo Mele aka Dj Mimmo and we also had the privilege of having a chat with him including a interview..exclusive to Lightly Salted

Cosimo Mele, also known as DJ MiMMo, has been on his musical journey as a DeeJay for almost twenty-five years. This Zürich resident, with roots descending originally from Italy, has had a love affair with Electronic Music since the age of 14.

With great passion and enormous talent developed extensively over the past years, he has played clubs throughout Zürich, where he always brings the house down! NO longer just settling for that accomplishment in Zürich, he has also taken his deep House Sounds to Italy, the Ukraine and as far away as Thailand, all where he is showing his skills and mastery over and over again. With those vastly intensive experiences gathered over the years behind him he now embraces production as well. We can expect great things with that first venture into Production just in time for the Street Parade!

1) Share a few artists/people that have influenced personally and musicaly?

(Mimmo)David Morales, Jamie Lewis and last but not least my father.

2) Tell us more about 'Deep Deluxe. What was the main inspiration behind
it?

(Mimmo) Deep Deluxe is the deeper side of Soul Deluxe and was born to propose a fusion of soulful into deep house music.

3) Is there any upcoming gigs and where can one find you on social media
and what is next for you?

(Mimmo)i have some nice residences in zürich (Terasse/Bellevue/Valmann/Milchbar/Petit Prince) and doing a lot of dj gigs in switzerland. I'm working also to expand my gigs to other countrys like London/Amsterdam/Berlin.

4) Can you please tell us some interesting facts they may not know about you?

(Mimmo) frist of all i love my kids & family.Music is my drug & religion that's why i couldn't live without.i wouldn't be the same without my ducati monster… emotions..

5) What's next for you?

(Mimmo) i will soon release a big production with the one and only Roland Clark on the vocals.Really proud of it

6) What is the one machine, program, sound, drum machine, technique that characterizes your sound?

(Mimmo) i don't would focus on one machine or gear… i'm really open minded and i always search for the one who fits the best

7) What is the one piece of kit that you simply cannot do without?

(Mimmo)COLA ZERO !

8) What next release can we look for from you?

(Mimmo)As i already said, the Roland Clark collabroation is big but i have some nice remixes to be released from Andy Lee on Together with AM2PM and also another one with Roland NIghts

9) Lastly please tell us What is music to you and how did you fall inlove with it?
(Mimmo)i'm really into this Deep & Soulful Music wave right now.
The reason why? mmmm
