I’ve got that new Maschine Expansion “Prospect Haze” and it’s lovely, a seriously good collection of hip hop orientated drum kits and an equally lovely collection of one shot chords and musical licks. They are so good you instantly go about making something fantastic that you wouldn’t under normal circumstances be able to do.

Meanwhile….. somebody else in another country is using exactly the same musical elements as you making something equally as wicked as you whilst EVERY OTHER DAMN PURCHASER of the pack is likely to be doing the same. We’ll end up with a crowd sourced remix of the original sound designer’s work; a thousand b**tard children all running around wild AND WE PAID FOR THE PRIVELEDGE!

If you want to have at least a smidgeon of your own identity please go and do something different with those samples, you’ll thank me for it in the long run.
