Reality of the music industry! Its tough all round indeed
It was said often before, but saddens me again and again. People need to buy the music. If you find illegal download links where music was (in a single one) downloaded about 100times more often than it was purchased legally, there’s something wrong in the mentality of consumers and actually the whole industry. There’s not only the aspect that people who upload the music to file sharing sites act against the law, but what is worse is that producers will start doubting if the effort, time and money they put into productions is still worth it. It will lead to more quickly done and “cheaply” produced music, which then affects the whole scene. I simply don’t get what advantage and pacification people have, if they upload music into uncontrolled and impersonal cyber space. The only ones making profit out of this are the file sharing sites themselves. Think about it …
